Look, let me be honest, I’m not going to get rid of my balls anytime soon….round or flat.   The thing with balls is, they are expensive and spending $45-$70 on a finishing powder may make you feel, well, kicked in them.  If you are longing for a luminous glow that isn’t overly matte or dewy but isn’t a budget blower, try NYX Radiant Finishing Powder ($5.39 on sale at Ulta).  This multi-colored powder is supposed to brighten and even out the skin tone by giving the skin a luminous glow.  To the touch, it has that silicone feel which makes sense since Dimethicone is in the ingredients.  I’ve been using this powder exclusively for the last couple of weeks.  Here are my Ivory thoughts:  I don’t think it evens out my skin that much but it brightens it nicely.  The white square has a shimmer to it but when swirled with the other 5 colors, it is subtle on me.  It isn’t as finely milled as say Hourglass but for the price, it really is fan-tabulous.  Obviously, for $5 bucks, the packaging isn’t luxurious but who cares?  I’m not sure how this would perform on Olive, it may be too light or the shimmer may be too much.    I will pass it along to her and she will follow-up with her thoughts.  Is this a dupe for balls?  No, but it appears to be a dupe for Bobbi Brown’s Brightening Finishing Powder ($52).  So if you haven’t dipped your brush into the world of finishing powders this might be a great place to start for the cost of a Latte.
