I’m a picker, I’m a grinner….

I’m a lover….and I’m a sinner.  Yes, we are all of those things.  During this season of Lent, Olive and I are looking at some of the beauty sins we are committing.  Our plan is to hold each other accountable to giving these bad habits up for 40 days.  Would you like to join us?  We are going to come back and post in the comments how we are doing.

Ivory:  You know what is beautiful…..accepting a compliment by just saying thank you.  Why is this so hard?  I usually make some type of self-deprecating joke when a simple thank you will suffice (with a grin).   I am going to try to give more compliments and be more gracious when receiving them.  Also, I am totally guilty of the biggest skin sin ever…..falling in bed without washing my face.  Sometimes the nighttime routine between the bath, the pajamas, the reading, the fish feeding, the teeth brushing, the hair braiding, the I’m thirsty, and the I can’t sleep will just zap me.  I have nothing left to give….not even 2 minutes on the Clarisonic.  So, I am committed to following my skincare regime every night for 40 days.

Olive:  Remember when I told you, I threw out my 5x mirror.  Well, maybe….I grabbed it back out of the trash.  For me, I am going to stop over examining my skin and (gasp) picking at it.  For the next 40 days, I will be more lover versus picker.  I will not be so critical of my skin and stop touching my face.  Also, I am rocking an ombré but it has made my hair a little dry.  I’ve already started but I am going to continue going cold turkey on any heat products for the next 40 days.

Can we do it?  We guess we will see!  Would you be willing to give up something up or make a commitment with us?
