Some people have mommy issues. I have mascara issues…waterproof ones. I’ve been to therapy and it all stems from this. Anywoo, I’m in recovery and have been wanting to try Maybelline Falsies Big Eyes for a while. I accidentally picked up Waterproof versus Washable. My therapist probably would say there are no accidents so instead of having a panic attack and immediately passing it over to Olive, I decided to face my demons full on and see if I can get lashed it.
This dual wand brush is pretty genius. I believe the formula though on each side is the same. I love having a little wand for my lower lashes and this is a decent drugstore version of Clinique’s Bottom Lashes. I needed a few swipes of each to coat my lashes. This isn’t a one and done. To minimize any clumps, I used the lower lash brush on my upper lashes to separate. I’m such a rebel, and I was able to get pretty good results (See Ivory creepy eye pic below). While my lashes didn’t feel crunchy, they did feel dry. This dryness started to make me freak out a little. I was worried at wash-off I was going to have one lash left. That wasn’t the case though, thanks to my HG Make Up For Ever Sens’eyes. It came right off without any scrubbing. Thank you, Jesus.
Overall, as much as I love the dual wand and think other brands should consider the concept, the dryness of the formula makes me iffy if I’d purchase in the future. It didn’t send me back to therapy and for that, I have to give it a thumbs up. Will I grab for this when I anticipate some tears? Absolutely. Since it’s the only waterproof formula I own, I’ll be slapping it on this week when I drop my Littles off at kindergarten.
Have you tried this? Do you use waterproof mascara?
