Happy Friday, friends! I love Fridays because it means nightly showers and bedtimes are negotiable, and early morning threats are minimal for the next 2 days.
Know what else I love? Nail polish. Especially when it’s a brand I’m new to or a color that someone else has chosen for me. That’s my favorite thing about Birchbox. Since I have signed up for the monthly sample subscription program, I have received 3 bottles of nail polish by Color Club. I had never tried anything from the brand and probably wouldn’t have known about it, had it not been introduced to me by Birchbox. Last summer I received a neon shade called Age of Aquarius. In September I received a beautiful cobalt blue called Insta-this. Last month I received an emerald-green shade called Wild Cactus. Guess what the Pantone Color of the Year is? It’s emerald-green. All of the bottles were mini sizes which happens to suit me perfectly because I have never, in my life, used up an entire bottle of polish. They all go bad before I could ever use them. It’s kind of like most of the dresses in my closet; one and done. Wear it once and then it lives the rest of its life collecting dust. I wonder if all the dresses and polishes talk to each other and take bets on who, if any, will be taken for another spin.

Anyhoo, Color Club polishes are pretty awesome. Although the bottles I get from Birchbox are minis, the brushes are full size. In my opinion, the brushes are the perfect size; not as wimpy as Essie’s and not as gargantuan as OPI’s. The bristles are a bit longer than most which makes it easier for getting close to the cuticle without flooding the sides of the nails. All 3 of the colors I have tried are really great. I love the formula. None of them have been streaky, gloppy or runny.
Color Club polishes are vegan, Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP and paraben-free – and made in New York, NY. They do not test on animals.
You can buy Color Club polishes here or you can sign up to receive Birchbox’s monthly box here.
Enjoy your weekend!

I’ve heard polish doesn’t go bad…..I have over 200 bottles so they better not go bad on me lol!
200 polishes? Holy Smokes….Do tell us, what is your favorite brand?
I’ve had some polishes go bad on me where the color changes or separates. It hasn’t happened a ton but it has happened! -Ivory
It’s amazing! The coverage is awesome, and I love the colors. I just wish it were easier to find in stores.
I’ve gotten 2 different color club polishes from Birchbox and I agree they’re amazing! I’m extremely jealous that I never got that cobalt blue shade though because it looks gorgeous! Love it.
