At our trip to Neiman Marcus this weekend, we were able to hear from several lines on what is hot for spring. Bobbi Brown’s team had a ton of energy led by one of their lead Makeup Artists. How fun does this guy look? He was hilarious so immediately, I wanted to be his friend.
One of the things he said was that Bobbi Brown creates makeup for women on the go. I wonder if that is why Katie Holmes is their new Spokesmodel because let’s be clear, no one defined “On the go” faster than her last year! Ask Tom Cruise! Anywoo, we got to play and try out the new Bobbi Brown Long-Wearing Cream Shadow Sticks. “This do it all formula glides on tug-free and can be used to shade, define, smoke up and highlight eyes.” These 8 hour wear, water-resistant sticks come in 8 shades.
- Violet Plum, a deep shimmer eggplant
- Bark, a rich brown
- Shadow, a smokey blue grey
- Forest, a cool emerald green
- Iced Blue, a shimmering blue grey
- Sand Dune, a medium beige tan
- Golden Pink, a shimmering pink peach
- Vanilla, a warm cream
As a blonde, green-eyed girl, I was reaching for the Violet Plum and Forest when the makeup artist suggested Iced Blue. It definitely leaned more silver than blue. She lined my lower lid with it and it really made my eyes pop. She used the Bark and Vanilla on my friend. After a long day, these babies were still kicking. I have to say my new friend was right, I love the shadow sticks for a quick look. I’ll swipe a darker color like Shadow or Bark from my lower lid up to the crease and use a lighter shade like vanilla from the crease up to my browbone. Perfect for a mom on the go….in her car…..at a stoplight.
