Big Girls Don’t Cry…or do they?

Did your parents ever tell you that life was unfair?  I knew that was true when I got this photo from my husband.  WHAT?  He met Josh Duhamel….I didn’t even get a courtesy call he would be in the vicinity.  Totally unfair.

I sent him a picture of me and Fergie but it didn’t have quite the same impact since I was standing next to a Fergie cardboard cut-out at Walgreens. She looked fierce.  I didn’t.  He text me back and said, “Big Girls Don’t Cry.”  Seriously……

Anyway, I picked up a few of her new Shimmer Palette’s from her Centerstage Collection, Rose Golden Goddess and Rose Champagne Glow. The packaging says these are “baked technology” but they look more like pressed powder to me.  They can be worn wet or dry.  Rose Golden Goddess is a coppery shimmer that leans a little orange.  I used it as a bronzer.  I would say that for an Olive it would probably be more of a highlighter.  It’s a little shimmery for my liking and my age (if I’m honest).  The Rose Champagne Glow is definitely more of a highlighter.  It is a pink shimmer with very small flecks of glitter.  I liked it and can see reaching for it in the future.  Of the two, I thought it was the standout.  I didn’t love the texture of either of these as it wasn’t as soft as I would like but it latest all day and the payoff for the price is great.

Bottom line:  If you are a high-end product user, I’m not sure these are going to make you go Boom Boom Pow.  On the other hand, if you are looking for some reasonably priced, no fading, last all day highlighters for $4.99 in a package that is as big as your palm, these will make you feel Fergalicious.
